Sky was mated to Deovolante Don Alfonso J.W (BAER tested normal), a dog of very similar type and temperament to Sky .The pedigrees were also compatible. Both going back to the well known Konavlje breed lines.
Sky had a cracking litter of 12 puppies. 6 boys and 6 girls born 3rd January 2003, but l one little girl didn’t make it. It’s such a loss and the pain we all feel after trying for days to make a puppy survive and see how they try to stay alive is very real. Watching the bitch’s frustrations and then the relief when a sickly puppy finely finds peace.
Sky was a great mum as well and was so happy to show everybody her babies. Always grinning and tail wagging. She was so proud of them all.Sky just couldn’t wait to show them off.

Day of arrival one by one 12 clean and tired puppies
A very tired mum and some extremely hungry babies

Did anybody say SIT ? Hey where’s my mum ??
I thought the other puppies we have had was well covered and sturdy but these were strong and incredibly even in body shapes and markings. It was almost impossible to tell them apart. 3 livers and 8 black spotted. No patches and they were all BAER tested normal.

Safty in numbers or just snuggling? The wonders of a herb garden..Whata smell !
An extremely even litter.Every puppy carries Skys “trade mark” the little black or liver pinch mark on both side of the ears, close to the head. She also seems to produce very evenly marked puppies.Sky absolutely loves her babies and likes nothing more than to play with them.Sometimes she is too rough and we have to have time out..just to give the puppies a break
Before going to their new homes all the puppies were Micro chipped, had their 1st vaccination and a health check by our Vet

Chandhally Puppies being Microchipped at 6 weeks
I wanted to keep a bitch but some of them were far too similar to Ida so I decided to let them all go and was delighted that my dearest friend would take on “my” girl . You cannot replace what was,no matter how much I wanted to keep this one. Instead I have the pleasure of seeing and being with the girls at the shows.
It is wonderful to see some of Sky’s puppies doing so extermely well and making a name for them selves, at Open shows and at Championship Shows.I am especially proud of Harvey, the liver boy.
