Pia was one of 13 puppies but only 9 survived. 5 girls and 4 boys. She made it perfectly clear at an early age that she wasn’t moving anywhere and certainly not to a new home. Pia would always rush up to people and greet them and then just as quickly retreat to me and sit by my side and watch. It really is amazing how the dogs themselves decide where and with whom they want to stay. Pia is the one who stayed and is now totally spoilt by her mother SKY: Irish / Int Ch CHANDHALLY CHANTILLY LACE, and her granny MOSS: IRISH CH. DALREGIS SHOOTING STAR OF CHANDHALLY

Spoilt Me ? I love U
Pia has the same relaxed and easy going temperament as her mother. Why rush things when you can be laid back and content, and perhaps find something to destroy?? Except for brooms and shoes Pia is also digging to Australia or perhaps preparing the garden for the potatoes. It is rather funny to watch what she gets up to and when Pia gets really frustrated at something she comes out with a few barks and tries again.Oh dear ! Destructions do not stop there.Chewing on door frames, cupboards, fabric cage, shoes..Oh what to do!! If you can’t catch her at it.. there is no point in punishing. If there is something missing all we need to do is to look in the “kennel”. Pia has turned into a shredder, she never eats what she finds. We just pick up the pieces and have to guess..What was this ?? What has gone missing. In this household we dare not miss - place - anything. If we still can not find it ?Now that she is “finally” growing up she is a very demanding dog. 8.30 am sharp, every morning she starts Joodeling.she wants FOOD. So we do as we are bid and as soon as she has finished she goes back to bed. Happy as Larry. If you ignore her the noice just gets worse. Then we have the various times for walks.Same again. So she has her own system of getting our attention. She greets you with a super smile and does he ooowwoo..She will now say HELLOO..and then she talks .. Rather funny as we have never had a dog that “talks” like this. Its a good laugh and ofcourse we encourage her.she also knows how and when to use it to make people laugh. The more you laugh the more she will wagg her tail and grin at you.
I have never thought it possible that dogs could be “re-incarnated” but that is the only way I can explain it or perhaps I wish it to be so ! I just do not know. As Pia gets older she also gets more like Ida not just in looks but also in behaviour. Temperament outstanding ,stealing food and getting on the work bench ,eating things that are not that nice, brooms and brushes, shoes..the list goes on and on. Pia also insists on being right in the middle of what oyu are doing, which is difficult at times. But how do you tell her off? You just don,t...
In the show ring we are also having a lot of fun.We are extremely proud of Pia who qualified for CRUFTS 2006 at her very first Championship Show just 6 months old and has so far had a lot of success in the show ring here in UK.Ireland,Scandinavia and Europe.Long may that continue..
